Even though he was once in a punk rock band called “Non-Fiktion Nois,” Tubs, a father of two focuses on a different type of art form in his life today. He is a street artist who uses cultural Latino images in his work to which he blends calligraphy and graffiti together, better known as calligraffiti. Raising two daughters with his girlfriend of seven years keeps life busy and full. It fuels Tubs to work towards his goal of painting murals and exhibiting his work around the world.

What do you wake up thinking about?

I wake up thinking about my daughters, making sure they are okay and what can I do today to progress as a artist.

What's your morning ritual?

Wake up, shower, give thanks and coffee.

How does social media play into your daily life?

It plays a pretty big role sometimes. I use it as my platform to express myself artistically and also to network and meet different artist from around the world.

Are we more connected or disconnected than before?

I believe it's a strange mix of both. We can be so tied into social media that we forget about the real things that are right in front us.
